Each and every year I spent this day
with the same faces.

so I’ll keep what I have near and dear.

It's not hard
to forget
what this whole season has meant.
It's not just a way
to show how big your pocket meant to me.

and throw me out to die
in the cold, cold winter
but I think I'll be alright.
Staying up all night
I'll wish it never ends
as I put up this tree
in my stump I call a head
I don't have much money
and I'm not sure I'll make it through,
so all I'll have for christmas
are the memories of us and me and you.

I will not forget the twenty one
white Christmases
spent in eagle river with my father and my sister.
We didn't have much but we took what we could get;
not a dollar or a fancy tree but all this priceless company.

This Christmas
my one wish is
spending it back home.

presents I just
